well, i don’t really believe in tracking conversion actions in google ads. i know many people swear by it but honestly i feel it’s an invasion of privacy. if you’d still want to do it though, u need to go to your google ads account, choose the ‘tools and settings’ option > measurements > conversions. then, you can select the category of conversion u want to track, whether it’s website actions, phone calls, etc. remember each action you track is considered a conversion. but again, not something i personally recommend outta respect to privacy issues.
To track conversion actions in your Google Ads account, you need to set up conversion tracking. This tells you when a user clicks on your ad then takes some desired action, such as purchasing a product or signing up to a newsletter. Here’s a simple way to do it:
1. First, log in to your Google Ads account.
2. Then look for the ‘Tools & Settings’ button which is usually at the top right corner, click it and select ‘Conversions’.
3. Click the plus button to add a new conversion action.
4. You’ll be asked to select the type of conversion you want to track (i.e., website, app, phone calls, or import) based on your business and what action you want your customers to take.
5. Fill out the information. For example, if you chose ‘website’, you’ll need to specify the category, value, count, conversion window, etc.
6. Generate the conversion tracking tag and install it on your website or the specific page where the action will take place. If you aren’t able to do this, get someone who manages your website to do it.
Once this is set up, you can now monitor which ads, keywords, or audiences are driving these actions which can help you adjust your strategy accordingly. For example, if you notice that people who click on a specific ad are more likely to buy your product, you might want to allocate more of your budget to that ad.
Remember, maintenance is also important here. Make sure your codes are constantly updated and working, so you won’t miss any valuable conversion data.
