Facebook Reels is a new feature and as of right now, there isn’t a direct way to run ads specifically on Facebook Reels like you can with Stories or in the News Feed. However, any video ads you run on Facebook can potentially show up in the Reels section as part of the existing video ads system. You just need to create a Video ad via Ads Manager, select Automatic Placements or choose Facebook Feed under manual placements. Despite not being able to directly choose Reels, your video ads will be exhibited in all Facebook video placements, which include Reels. Facebook is likely to develop a more specific ad targeting for Reels as the platform continues to grow, much like it did for Instagram’s Reels. Make sure to keep an eye on updates from Facebook.
As of my knowledge up to this point in history, Facebook has not yet rolled out a specific feature for putting ads on Facebook Reels similar to Instagram. Your best option would be to run ads through the regular Facebook Ad Manager and target your desired demographic. Be sure to stay updated with Facebook’s news and announcements as they could potentially introduce this feature in the future.
as of now, facebook does not directly allow users to monetize reels with ads, unlike youtube or tiktok. however, you can use reels to indirectly promote your products, services, or affiliated links. for a direct monetization option, you may need to wait until facebook includes this feature.
