it could be because google analytics has not yet updated or there might be an issue with the coding of your backlinks.
Backlinks may not be showing up on Google Analytics because it only tracks traffic that comes to your site via clicks, not overall backlinks; to see all backlinks, you would need to use a tool like Google Search Console or a dedicated backlink checker.
There could be several reasons why your backlinks are not showing up on Google Analytics.
1. Google has not indexed them: It can take some time for Google to index backlinks. Depending on the website’s authority, it can take anywhere from a few days to a few months for Google to index your backlinks.
2. They are No Follow links: Google does not take these links into account because they do not pass the PageRank. As such, they will not show up in Google Analytics.
3. Your backlinks have been created on irrelevant or low-quality websites: Google’s algorithm is getting smarter every day and can recognize when links are being artificially created on low-authority or irrelevant sites. These links may not be recognized or might be ignored in your Google Analytics data.
4. Unnoticed Traffic: If the backlink is not generating any traffic, the referral source will not be noticeable in the analytics.
Lastly, note that Google Analytics doesn’t directly show backlinks. You can see referrals which means that someone clicked a link on another site and landed on yours. But to directly monitor your backlinks, Google Search Console (previously Google Webmaster Tools) is a much better tool. This is a free service by Google that helps you monitor and troubleshoot your website’s presence in Google Search results. You can find the ‘Links’ report under ‘Search Traffic’ in Google Search Console, which helps you to see the websites that link to your site. It’s highly recommended to regularly monitor your backlinks by Google Search Console in addition to Google Analytics for better SEO.
hey, it could be a number of things. may be google hasn’t crawled your site yet, this can take some time, especially for newer sites. another possible reason is that the sites you’ve got backlinks from aren’t indexed by google. if the backlinks are from spammy or low-quality sites, google might ignore them. also ensure u’ve properly set up your google analytics, cause if not you won’t be able to see any backlinks data. at the end, it might need bit of time, so keep cool and wait a while.
