well, this usually happens cuz the form needs to be linked to a server or a database to store the input data. if it ain’t connected, there’s literally no place for your data to go, so the submission gets cancelled. but i personally think that you should still be able to submit the form even if it’s not connected. just cuz the data won’t be saved doesn’t mean the user shouldn’t be able to click the “submit” button, to me, that’s a design flaw and can be frustrating to the user.
